CP: Because I believe in the power of brands as a force for good – helping people think differently, creating a bigger and more positive impact on our world and fighting the big bad guys. And I recognised that businesses and organisations that want and need to be this type of brand can really benefit from what I do.
CP: My biggest challenge has been maintaining positive mindset throughout – I am an optimist but running a small business is tough and you’re often faced with well meaning but unhelpful feedback from people that have no idea what you do! So I learned to recognise and seek out like-minded businesses and reach out to targeted people within my network who can offer relevant expertise. And pay it forward whenever people need my help too!
CP: My family have been a huge source of support when the going gets tough. And my brilliant business coach, Harriet Minter has been a revelation – I started working with her in January and have already smashed my year goals!
RB: What is the vision for your business and where do you see it five years from now?
CP: Great question. My vision is to be the Beyoncé of brand strategy! But it’s not about stadium tours and fame, but about doing things in such an inspiring, creative and convention-shattering way that it changes the game. And for Brand by Me, the vision is to be the go to for small and medium sized purpose-led businesses wanting to make a global impact.
