My story with glass started in the third year at college when I had studied stained glass with lead, I became Fascinated with the designs of the Glass, this course was the light of inspiration. After I had graduated from Alexandria university with a bachelor degree of Fine Arts in 2008, I received my master degree in interior design in 2014.
Then I decided to become an apprentice in Foustat Traditional Crafts Centre and I have learned at the hands of one of the most skilled masters in the craft of Arabian Stained glass with plaster .
My apprenticeship period in Cairo lasted for three months, I studied fused glass at Egyptian Porcelain House. Always searching for new sources of inspiration and innovation that would shape my creations, I began exploring the artistic, intellectual and cultural history of Islamic design to keep our Islamic heritage . Combining my research with my love for architecture, I made a lot of pieces(Doors,Windows, Ceiling, Skylights, Domes, Mirror, Lighting units).
I have successfully transformed the concept of Glass making from a craft to an art and have managed to add a new dimension to the glass art.
