Heather Yixuan Li is a native of Beijing and former community manager of TechNode. She graduated from Penn State University with a dual degree in Public Relations and Political Science. She fell in love with the richness of African culture and community and was nominated as “Friend of Africa” last year by Appreciate Africa Network. She’s passionate about technology and its intersection with China-Africa relations, and currently a freelancer in bilingual PR and marketing for cross-border businesses. She’s the founder of Dot Connector, a boutique PR agency aiming to connect the vast opportunities of China and Africa’s tech and startup ecosystems. As a co-host of New Frontiers in African Tech, she hopes to create a platform to spotlight thriving tech startup founders in various African countries, and connect them with investor and support networks in China and beyond.
