Where:
All projects must be serving women and/or girls in developing economies and emerging markets. The founder of the project need not be based in the areas where her work operates.
Why:
Impact is an integral part of our business model. Supporting early stage women social entrepreneurs, doing their part to develop projects, which solve social problems in the developing world and emerging markets is important to us.
How:
- Identify: We conduct research and accept suggestions from others on projects supporting the causes mentioned above. Through our vetting process we collaborate with early stage female social entrepreneurs who share our values, vision and mission.
- Collaborate: Together with the early stage female social entrepreneur, we create a bespoke project plan, under our #RareIsChange campaign. Said bespoke project plan is backed by the sales of a specific product (s) on our e-commerce platform.
- Support: Proceeds from the bespoke project plan under our #RareIsChange campaign is donated to the early stage female social entrepreneur.
The Vision for #RareIsChange is to evolve into an investment marketplace for early stage women social entrepreneurs operating in developing economies and emerging markets. This marketplace will enable women social entrepreneurs by showcasing their projects, help them gain supporters and grow organically and sustainably!
